It seems that property is the only investment worth doing at the moment in Dubai... are there any other area's of growth?

Yes, there are stocks...at Dubai Financial Market, where expats too can invest now and the newly opened, world class Dubai International Financial Exchange which made its debut only this Monday (26 sept) and also the upcoming Dubai Gold and Commodity Exchange. These are some avenues for investing in addition to real estate.

buy property and rent it out.. the rents here are soaring, take advantage of that.
