I have a friend in Canada who couldn't believe this fact; and when he did he was jealous. This might not sound strange to people already living in Dubai, but sure is for people all around the world. Speaking of which, is there any other place which does that?

Believe it or not Life Pharmacy on Al Wasl Road does home delivery...but if you are talking food try "Eat and Drink" restaurants-theyhome deliver too. I think many places do as you see a lot of motorbikes around with delivery boxes on the back. I'm usually oblivious to the type of restaurant/fast food. I do know the Subway on Al Wasl has home delivery too. Amazingly lazy really but ahhhh, so convenient!

I think because the petrol in this country is very cheap so they have an advantage over many other countries....it does'nt hurt financially to drive in this country as it does in London and many other places...I didn't know subway delivered

A lot of restaurants in Dubai deliver free of charge. Almost all of the ones in Diyafa St do. Anyway, the petrol prices are rising, so I don't really know if deliveries will continue free of charge.

You guys should compile a list of all restaurants that deliver, their type of cuisine, and price range.. with phone numbers. It's pretty useful. I could dig up some of Lebanese, Indian, Chinese, Italian and Iranian restaurants.

BTW, in case you didn't know, some bakeries have a van service and they pass by your house everyday so you can buy bread. All neighbourhood grocery-stores have delivery services. Also, laundry shops have free delivery, they drop your clothes by to your house. Even hair stylists, beauticians, masseurs, and tailors make house calls. There is a delivery for everything. You just gotta know the number.

I'm not sure if they have this service in Dubai, but in Bahrain the video store delivers DVD's to homes, and the guy who brings it in is a body builder who does a little show and dance for the people as he hands them the DVD. It's all PG-rated family stuff though

Now the body builder thing almost makes you think about moving!! LOL Do any of you know of a good Indian restaurant with very mild curies included-I have a young daughter who loves them!

OOh! Gotta say I like being a junior member....just noticed that! I feel 10 years younger already! (Of course that would make me eleven....NOT!)
